PALMER SHIELD. The final matches for the Palmer Shield were fired by the Hutt Valley Clubs during the week. , Lower Hutt (675) met and defeated Petone National Reserve (669), and Petone Working Men's Cluib wpn . from Petono Ladies. Tho shield points now are: Lower Hutt 8 points, P.N.R. 8 points, Petone Ladies .4 points. P.W.M.C. 4 points. The tie between the two for<mer teams will be fired off next week. A special trophy for the highest individual aggregate in five out of sis matches hrcd resulted in a tie between Scott (P.N.R.) and •Baoumgrin (P.N.R.) with 342 points each. These were closely follewed by Warburton (L.H.) 341, Liddle (P.N.R:),,340, Kerr (P.N.R.), and Bodie (L.H.) 339. A sboot-ofr will be necessary between the two first named.
