YESTERDAY'S BUSINESS. PROGRESS OF VARIOUS BILLS. The Legislative Council, sat at 2.30 p m. FORESTRY REPORT. WHEN WELL IT BB PRINTED? The Hon. C. H. Izard asked the Leader of the'Council if the forestry report was to be printed. Councillors were interested in the report, but had not been able to get copies of it. Sir Francis Bell replied that the report would toe printed, but, as the Government Printing' Office was very busy, he could not say when. .MASSEURS BILL. AMENDMENT NOT INSISTED ON. The House of Representatives notified that they had agreed to the Council's amendments in the Masseurs BiU except the new clause 12a, with which they had disagreed. The reason given for disagreeing with this clause waß that it might have a far-reaching effect and might well be deleted without hurt to the measure. If a man accepted with open eyes treatment from an unregistered masseur he should be prepared to pay for ,it. The clause might prevent athletes' and those who gave rubbing exercises from collecting their fees. Sir Francis BelL suggested that the Council should not insist on the amendment. • ■ ,; ' The Hon. W H. Triggs said that as tho most important amendments made, by the Council had been agreed to by; the. House he was willing that the Council should not insist in this case. It was agreed not to insist. At 2.35 p.m. the Council adjourned till Wednesday next, tout Sir Francis Bell asked the members of the Statutes Revision Committee to be available for business on Tuesday.
