DRAUGHTS
* THE WATM&IDERS' CLUB.
The ahove club's sealed handicap tourney for players in class A has just been concluded, as follows:
The first prize thus goes to Mr Masters, the second to Mr 0. Armstrong, and tho third to Mr E. Osbome. It will be seen that the handicappers (Messrs Reid, Burgess and Kent), succeeded in brtngins- about a close finish. Messrs Butler, J. lieid, and Burgees put up the best scores in the actual play, 'but none of them got into the prizelist as the sealed handicaps were on a very liberal scale, and were designed to encourage the younger players rather than tho oJd campaigner. There is also a clcsa finish an the club's chess tourney, the one outstanding game (Lindsay v. Burgess) having an important bearing on the prize-list.
