BOOKMAKERS TO OPERATE. Australian and N.Z. Cable Association. (Received July 25, 5-6 p.m.) LONDON, July 23. Bookmakers will bo permitted to operate at Hendon for to-morrow's Air Derby of 200 mile circuit around Lon. don Hawker is favourite, Hinkler next, and Raymond is third favourite, but probably will be a non-starter owning to a slight accident. There will bo 16 competitors. THE RESULT. (Received July 26, 1 a.m.) LONDON. July 24. P. Courtney, on a 300 horse-power Martvnsido Semi Quaver, wlo-iu the Derby, averaging 153 - miles hourly. The handicap resulted: Hammersley 1, Hinckler 2, Courtney 3. HammersIcy won the 1919 Handicap.
