The ministrato.* was declared to have lost 'l,-- confidence of the white residents owing ,to his hostility’ to progress, and was suggested that Mr StnnJorth Smith, th< Acting-Admin bitrator of the Nor f tern Territory, should become Lieutenant-Governor.
