The final result of the Manawatu Centro’s bowling tournament was: Newtown (Prince, Manning, Ferguson, Wylie), 20; Sr. -John’s (Smart, Rowlings, Harkness, Scrivener), 16. It was a splendidly contested game. The scores were even at the ninth, eleventh, thirteenth, and fifteenth heads. Scrivener led by 1 at the seventeenth, and Wylie was 2 up at the 20th. In the last head Wylie lay 2, and Scrivener just missed a firm draw and a drive.
