AN EARTH TREMOR
A sharp' shock .of earthquake tra« experienced at 12.10 this morning. The direction appealed to be north and south, and the vibration was moro pronounced than usual. Windows and shutters rattled the upper .portions af buildings trembled, and as a premonitory sign a low moaning sound was heard. A shock was felt at Palmerston North two minutes after the Wei. lington tremor.
