It is improbable that a successor will reach hero to take over tho office bofore Lord Liverpool leavcß, and tho likelihood is that the Chief Justice (Sir Robert Stout) will to act-ing-Governor until tho arrival of 'tho new appointee. Who the now Governor will be is not yet announced, but the suggestion has been made in England that Lord Strathspey should bo given the position. Lord Strathspey was born in New Zealand and educated here.
