LABOUR EDITOR’S IMPRESSIONS. “PROUD TO SHAKE HANDS WITH MURDER.” Australian and N.Z. Cable Association. (Received March 22, 10.30 p.m.) LONDON, March 32. Ten thousand people at Albert Hall, Mr Tom Mann presiding, welcomed Mr George Lansbury, editor of the “Daily Herald,” the Labour newspaper, who has returned from Russia, where he interviewed Lenin and other Soviet leaders. He declared that he "'as proud’ to have shaken hands wjth murder. A groat many atrocities had been committed, but the Central Government of Russia had done more to keep down terrorism and murder than any other Government in similar circumstances could have. done. SOUTH RUSSIAN GOVERNMENT CHANGED. LONDON, March 19. Dr. Harold Williams, who is with Deniken, telegraphs that as the result of an. agreement with the United Ccssqcks’ Assembly, the Government of South Russia has been changed, and Deniken becomes regent of a semiSocialist Government, with Melnikov, the Socialist Cossack, as Premier. Each Cossack region will have a special representative in the Cabinet. The conflict with Bolshevism is entering upon a new phase.
