PREMIER’S SPEECH
VIEWS OF LABOUR LEADERS,
Australian and N.Z. Cable Association. LONDON, March 19. Labour members were interviewed regarding Mr Lloyd George’s speech. Mr W. Adamson said the Prime Minister was preaching the doctrine of class war, as in the old “limehonsing" days. Mr J. Ri Clynes said: “When Lloyd George has done his work, the privileged classes will he more sorry than Labour." Mr A. Henderson said the speech played upon the unreasonable fears of propertied interests. “Labour will accept the challenge and will raise a fund, of-from-AbJO million shillings in anticipation, of an early general election. This is our answer to Mr Lloyd George’s attack."
