The Waikato owner-trainer. R. Hannon, put up a good record, at the recent Ohinemuri Jockey Club’s m.eet r ing, his horses winning six races, two seconds, a dead heat for a second, and one third. Ho had a representative in' each of the fiat races, and follow, era of the stable invested the large sum of £14,255 on their chances, winning in return, in dividends £21,010 4a. Thin is a record that will take some beating, not that other stables have not .won, as many, if not more races at a meeting, tout :it .is doubtful ,if their horses have carried so much money, and given such a • good return. .
