Tho United States, as the result of recent anti-Peruvian manifestations at La Paz, has sent two Notes to Bolivia, asking it to cease disturbing the peace of. South America. These manifestations arise out of the Tacna-Arica dispute. WASHINGTON. March If). Mr F. L. Polk, Under-Secretary of the State Department, has asked the Chilian Anlbassador to urge his Government ( to use its friendliest influence to reconciliate Peru and Bolivia. The State Department has sent a third Note t» Pom and Bolivia, asking them to compose their difference. A despatch from Lima (Peru) stated that Bolivia has expressed its regrets to the Peruvian Minister for the La- Paz incident.
