YOUTHFUL OFFENDERS DEALT , WITH.
Before Mr E. Pago, S.M., on Sat* urday morning a boy, ten years of age, pleaded guilty to purloining a bicycle, the property of Hugh Gillon. The boy had been in trouble on a former occasion, and his mother, in giving evidence, stated that she ■was separated from her husband. Her health was not good, and she was only able to earn from 25s to 30s a week on which to support herself and
her son. On the suggestion of . the Juvenile Probation Officer, the offender was committed to a receiving home and was informed that he would be sent to Weraroa Training Farm if he offended again. , A bov, eleven years of age adraittea stealing £3 from Alice Johnson, a so two lb a thing suits and two S } ; P S ed at los, the property of John whisker. After being admonished, the ao>cused was placed- on probation for Xi" month a. and was ordered to refund the money he had stolen. ,
