The Kini is expected to sail this evening for ■ Greymouth and will not take any cargo. If it is found impossible to dispatch her to-night, she will leave tomorrow, taking cargo. The Monowai is leaving Auckland today, and is due here on Thursday, sailing the same evening for Lyttelton and Dunedin. The Moeraki, which was delayed on Friday as a result of the heavy rain, left AVellington on Saturday at 1.15 p.m. for Sydney. The passage list appeared in Saturday’s "Times.’’ The Kakapo is expected to have her overhaul completed at Lyttelton to-day. The four-masted barque Mongohela from ’Frisco, anchored inside the AVcllington Heads last night to wait for the Terawhitl to go out. News reached Sydney on March 11th that Messrs Burns, Philp, and Co.’s auxiliary ketch Bretta Tai was destroyed by fire recently at Lautoka (Fiji). Tbo ketch—a vessel of 30 tons—had arrived at Lautoka from Levuka, and lifter discharging her cargo loaded food and general supplies for Yasawas. The fire' broke out just before hei sailing time, all. efforts to save the vessel being unavailing. The vessel was insured. PX-GERMAN STEAMER! SOLD. The ex-German steamer Rajah, 2329 tons register, which was built at Bremenhaven in 1902, and was originally known as the Hohnetein, has been sold bv the United States Shipping Board to the Frenoh-American Ship Company for about ,£65,000. Shortly after the American Government entered into the late war the Rajah was commandeered, and made one or two trips to Australia, but was principally engaged in the trade between Honolulu and San Francisco.
