Sir,—Our worthy Premier, who, by th« bye is also Minister for Railways, put up a good stage fight against, the bread rise; but why not be consistentop I should like to bring under his notice, as Minister for Eailways, some prices charged at railway refreshment _ rooms and a comparison -with ruling prices in Wellington, and would like .to know, if these -prices have been, sanctioned or investigated by the Board <*f Trade or approved by the Premier: Small buttered bun railway price, 4d; Wellington price, Id. Sandwich, railway pnco id; Wellington price, 2d. Cup of tea, railway price, -Id; Wellington price, 3d. Cake, per piece, railway price, 4d; Wellington price Id. I might add that the railway sandwich is by no means strictly ham, either. Hoping for some enlishtcnment. ~m AVEMjBB, .
