LIFT TO THE TERRACE

PROPOSAL TO CITY COUNCIL. The proposal made some weeks ago that access to Wellington -.terrace might be facilit.lfced by the installation of an- electric passenger lift has been exercising the mind of a Terrace resident. Mr I. Salek has asked tho permission of the City Council to install without delay an eleetric lift from Boulcott street to the Terrace by way of tho Church street steps.

Ho states that he t is prepared to carry out the work under tho supervision of the council's officers, and to tho satisfaction of the council, and also* desires to enter into any reasonable agreement relative to the council's taking over the lift within a poriod to be agreed upon.
