CHARGES AGAINST WOMAN,

AFTER TWO YEARS. Three charges of forgery and uttering were preferred against a young woman, Grace Smith (Mr C. A. L. Treadwell) at the Police Court yesterday, hut the prosecution asked the presiding magistrate, Mr E. Pr S.M., for a remand until Thursday next. Counsel asked that nominal bail be fixed, but Detective-Sergeant Lewis, in objecting, said that the alleged offences were nearly two years old.
