WAR MEMORIAL
CHRISTCHURCH CITIZENS PROPOSE TO SPEND £25,000. PER PRESS ASSOCIATION. CHRISTCHURCH, February 23. At a meeting of citizens to-day it was decided that the City Council’ be asked to obtain the necessary power to raise a sum of not more than £25,000 by a special rate on the capital value in the city to erect a war memorial.
