WREKIN BY-ELECTION
MR BOTTOMLEY HIGHLY DELIGHTED. LONDON, February 21. Mr Horatio Bottomley is delighted at Mr Palmer's success. He describes it as a "Bottomley bombshell, beginning a move in which we are going to put up a candidate at almost every by-election.'* He states they hope to form a bag independent group. Palmer is assistant-editor of Mr Bottomley's weekly papec, "John Bull."- It is believed' that the women's vote was largely responsible for the unexpected result. Mr Palmer (Independent) was successful in the Wrekin by-election, defeating a Labourite and a CoalitionLiberal.
