A NARROW ESCAPE
CARAVAN WRECKED BY TRAIN. FEB PKESB ASSOCIATION. NELSON, February S 3. Tho train from Glenhape to-day collided with a hawker's caravan on tho combined railway bridge over the Motueka River at Tapawera. The driver of the caravan, named Waterhousc, a returned soldier, jumped off and saved himself toy clinging to tho side of tho bridge. One'horse was killed and the other injured, while the caravan was wrecked and carried a considerable distance by tho locomotive.
