The electrical engineer of the Auckland City Council (Mr A. Wyllae) has reported that owing to the great delay in the delivery of materials 'the new machinery and feeder cables would not bo ready for next winter's load. It would be necessary, therefore, to place severe restrictions on the use of radian tors in tho central part of tho city, and he would have to discontinue all radiator circuits, and disconnect entirely any customers attempting to evade the restriction. Electric signs and oilier unnecessary lighting would have to remain oil faring tho day until 6 o’clock in tho evening. It is evident that districts other than ■Wellington are feeling tho pinch.
