NO HOLD-UP BY MOKOI-VS OFFICERS. A “Now Zealand Times” representative lias been informed from an authors five source that there will bo no hold-up by the master and officers of the Lnion Company’s steamer -Mokoia on the occasion of her proposed Parliamentary .trip to Samoa. The Merchant Service Guild Executive recently passed a vote deprecating the use of the Mokoia for that purpose. ANOTHER PROTEST. PETONE WOOLLEN WORKERS’ RESOLUTION. At a well-attended meeting of the Petono Woollen Workers’ Union the following resolution was passed unanimously : —“That this meeting desires to record its entire 'disapproval of the proposed Parliamentary trip to Samoa, and suggests that Parliament should assemble at once to give 'consideration to,-and endeavour to steady the everincreasing cost of living, for instance, the coal question, the cost of clothing, etc. “Should Parliament go into tho latter question, this union proffers its services, as we believe that the cost of woollen, goods is out of all proportion to the cost of manufacture.”
