STATEMENT BY THE MAYOR.
In connection with the preparations being made in Napier for any possible serious outbreak of influenza, the Mayor (Mr J. Vigor Brown, M.P.), told a “Telegraph.” reporter that during the pafit two months ono man. and for a good portion of tho period two men, have boon engaged in making a house-to-house inspection and seeing that backyards of properties are kept in a clean state.
