YESTEEDAY’S CASES. Mr E. Daniel Casey "’as charged with having been found helplessiy druuk at Weraroa on January 30th. bubinspector Emerson stated that Casey "as found in a very bad way, and was reluanded for a week's medical treatment. Ho was convicted and ordered to pay tho costs of his treatment, 17s 6d. X r or committing a breach ot his prohibition order Alfred Croft was fined 311 and costs. . .For driving a motor-par at a speed oi between 20 and 25 miles per hour on tho Potone road Charles Douglas Pulsford was fined £3 and costs. Isaac Mizraoki, for whom Mr P. W. Jackson appeared, was charged with purchasing four spanners, one rule and one jack plane from a boy, John Blackie, who was under tho age of sixteen. Chief Detective Ward, who prosecuted, asked tho Magistrate's consent to bring the boy into court. Tho boy was placet before the magistrafjev who ’remarked that he looked to bo under sixteen. The chief detective said his ago was. fifteen years and ten months. 'The articles he had sold to tho defendant had been stolen. Tho magistrate convicted Mizracki and ordered him to .pay 'tho costs of tho prosecution. Os. For having entered three hotels during tho currency of her prohibition order Lilian Playter, for whom Mr H. F. O’Leary appeared, was fined £1 on each charge.
