(From Our Own Correspondent.) MASTERTON, November 6. The Masterton Racing Club made _n profit on its last race meeting of £9SS. The old-established firm of Chamberlain, Ltd., has been purchased by Messrs Wright, Stephenson and Co. The losses of stock in the fire at Matahiwi on Sunday night were very heavy. Mr A. W. Tirkham had about 70 sheep destroyed. Mr L. V. Renall has sold his farm of 400 acres at Poro Poro to Mr A. R. Morrison, of Makuri.
