At the Supreme Court Charles .Robert Bignell, who was found guilty the previous day of supplying noxious things with intent to procure a miscarriage, was sentenced to eighteen months' gaol with hard labour. Frederick Alexander , Jackson was sentenced to twelve months' _ gaol for attempted theft of a motor bicycle. Ah Chung was acquitted on charges of indecent assault and carnal knowledge of a girl under sixteen years of age. DTJNEDIN. November 7. At the Supreme Court to-day, John Bennett, who pleaded guilty to stealing £22 from a fellow-fireman on the steamer Westmoreland, was ordered to be detained for reformative treatment for a term not exceeding three years.
