MANAGEMENT COMMITTEE BUSINESS AT WEEKLY MEETING The "weekly meeting of the management committee of the Wellington Football Association was held last night at the Y.M.C.A. rooms. Present —Messrs W. Auld (chairman), H. L, Godber, W. Duncan, A. E. Welle, R. Hendry, H. Spolsky, H. Yeoman, and A. Williams, hon. secretary. Thistle Club notified that S. McKenzie and B. Edwards were both injured in the .match v. Institute in their cup tie last Saturday. It was decided to place the first named player on the aocident insurance fund. No notification being received from B. Edwards. The Thistle Club also notified the association that the proceeds of the concert on behalf of the W.F.A. ■ resulted in a net profit of 11s. It was decided to thank the Thistle Club for their appreciative effort, , Marist fourth-class asked that the cup final x. Porirua be played in town on Saturday next. It was decided to grant tho request. , , . Wanganui wired for the date for which tho Brown Shield game v. Wellington would be played. It was decided to play tho game on October 4th. Brooklyn United Club -applied for the transfer of Colin Reid from the Thistle Club. The committee decided not to grant the transfer. It was decided to thank Mr Smythe for his efforts in reference in the Seventh Division matches this season. In regard to tho Brown Shield match v. Canterbury, as no financial report had been received from the latter, it was decided to ask the New Zealand Council to inquire into the matter. SATURDAY'S FIXTURES.
