The on )y question of importance was- hours and preference. iThe court said the fa ours were governed by the Shops and) Offices Act, and it did not see its way to Interfere with these hours in respec it of one particular class of shop. N'ft preference was granted regarding fc imale employees. The court decided th lat any femate in dress, Manchester drapery, furnishing, men’s and juvenile < slothing, mercery, piece- silks, velveteen B, carpets, linoleums, bedding, cott an dress goods, prints, and other dej lartmeuts shall be paid one-half more than the wages specified for females in the scale of wage®.
