Advice has boon received by Miss V. Alderton. of Auckland, that her brother. Corporal G. Alderton. was admitted to’hospital in England on October 4th. The cable reported ho had received a gunshot wound causing amputation of his right leg. Ho is tho only son of the lato Rebecca and Ernest Alderton, of Parnell, Ho was educated at tho Parnell school. Before leaving for tho trout ho was in tho employ of Wmstono. Ltd. Ho was a. member of the Cambridge Fire Brigade. Corporal Alderton left New Zealand with tho 3oth Reinforcement.
