<Bv the Dominion Meteorologist.) Present indications (5 p.m. yesterday) are for westerly winds, strong to gale, backing to southerlies shortly, southwards of New Plymouth and Castlopoint. Expect cloudy and unsettled weather, with Tain generally, and heavy rain and flooded rivers in the West Coast and southernmost districts of the South Island. Barometer fall, but rising .in the south after from 16 to 20 hours. (Summary on last page.)
