ARBITRATION COURT AWARDS. Press Association. • AUCKLAND, October 12. The Arbitration Court, in the carpenters’ award, increased the war bonus from twopence to threepence per hour, as from October 21st. The rate for carpenters and joiners, with bonus, is now' Is 9d per hour—the highest in Australasia. It is understood that painters’wages are increased from la 4Jd to Is 5Jd per hour, with a bonus of threepence per hour. The court decided that an award should bo made in the tfoftgoods trade, and referred the dispute back to the Conciliation Council for consideration on its merits. .
