HAIG ISSUES ARMY ORDER
WARNING TROOPS AGAINST HUNS’ PEACE CANARDS. Reuter’s Telegrams. (Received October 13, 5.5 p.m.) i LONDON, October 11. Sir Douglas Haig, in an. Army Order, warns officers and men that the enemy is circulating false rumours that peace is at hand, with the evident object of discouraging the troops and divert them from their great task of overthrowing their enemies. Sir Douglas Haig urges the troops to realise that now more than ever it is necessary to concentrate their energies on the great goal all hope to reach, namely, the attainment in the near future of a decisive happy result. '
