GERMAN OFFICIAL REPORTS

A wireless German official communique states:—Between St. Etienne and the Aisne we withdrew to positions on both sides of the Grand Pro, on the north bank of the Aire. The Americans, attacking with strong forces all day long between Sivry and Haumont Wood wore beaten back in bitter fighting. (Received October 13, 11.30 p.m.) LONDON. October 12. A wireless German official communique states:—Westward, of Douai wo retired to lines in the rear. We frustrated a British attempt to break through in the direction of Valenciennes. Tho enemy gained a footing at Iwuy. Wo evacuated the Chemin-des-Dames, and occupied a new position between Berry-au-Bao and southward of Bouzieres. Tho Saxons recaptured Ouneri and Bois do Sormes. ?
