FRANCO-AMERICAN OPERATIONS ON THE MEUSE
(Received October 13, 5.5 p.m.) LONDON, October 12. An American communique, dated 3.30 this morning, states; — On both sides of the Meuse violent counter-attacks failed to stem the advance of the Franco-Americans. We took Molleville Farm, northward of Bois de Consonavoye, passed through Bois de Foret and are before the villages of Landreset, St. George, and St. Juvin, which is on fire. The, American Army Corps operating with the British fought over ten miles through the enemy’s defensive system. It took 1900 prisoners since October sth. To-day this corps took Esoaufort, St. Benin, and St. Souplet. The American Army took 8000 prisoners since October Bth, of which French units took 2800. _*
