Press Association. ■* OHRISTCHURCH. September 27. At the Education Conference tho Very Rev. Dean Regnault, on behalf of the Marist Brothers, presented a paper on "Religion and Education." He said, In connection with the principles aotu. ating a certain section of the community to maintain the system of education, that there was a belief that to prepare for complete living secular and religious instruction must go hand in hand, as it would bo futile to attempt to train a child in the moral laws unless religion was used as the basis of such teaching.
