THE LABOUR CANDIDATE
Mr P. Fraser, the selected Labour candidate for Wellington Central, received the following telegram yesterday: At the request of a largo number of Auckland and Newmarket A.S.R.S. members, I wish to extend to you our sincere support and co-operation, together with the earnest hope that you will be overwholmingly successful in the contest for the Wellington seat. Wo also wish to dissociate ourselves with a resolution carried by a small majority at a small meeting of our branch of tho A.S.R.S. held last evening which sympathised with Mr Mack's attitude. Tho Labour candidate, Mr P. Fraser, addressed a meeting of the electors at the Mission Hall, Aro street, last evening. Mr A. Parlauo presided ovor a good attendance, and a vote of confidence in the Labour candidate; was carried unanimously.
Tho Labour party held an ' open-air meeting at Ghuznee street last evening in support of the Labour candidate, Mr P, Fraser. The speakers included Mr J. Read, Mr M. J. Reardon, Mr R. McKeen, Mr J. M. Campbell, and Mr E. Kennedy.
Open-air meetings in support of the Labour candidate, Mr P. - Fraser, will be held to-night at Ghuznee street and Dixdn street, and tho speakers will include Mr H. E. Holland, M.P., Mr A. L. Monteith, Mr R. Somple, and the candidate.
A meeting of tho committee and stipporters of the Labour party will bo held in the Trades flail, Vivian stroet, this afternoon, at 2.30 p.m. A monster Labour rally will bo held in the King's Theatre on Sunday night. Mr Atmore will speak at St. Peter's Schoolroom to-night.
