FOREST FIRES IN SARDINIA
RENDER THOUSANDS HOMELESS. Australian and N.Z. Cable Association (Received September 26, 8.50 p.m.) ROME, September 25. Forest fires are raging in Sardinia. Thousands of residents are homeless. The damage done is estimated at six million lire. Several towns threatened with destruction have been evacuated.
