ASSOCIATION FOOTBALL
The management committee ol the Football Association met in the Y.M.C.A. rooms last eveuins- There were present; Messrs A. K. Wells (in the chair), H. teoman. W. Auld. C. Webster, A. Smith, and A. Williams (hon. secretary). . It was decided to extend entries for the Scouts competition for another week. Trentham will meet Wellington representatives on Saturday at Association Park. . The following will represent Trentham : Goal. Kerswell; backs Baker, Webster; halves, Murray. Km, Hetnck; forwards. Webster. E-veritt, Ballard, HaiK, and Graham. Reserves. Dakin, Baweon, and Chapman. All arrangements for the Auokland y. Wellington match to bo played at Athletic Park on October sth were reported co be well in. hand, and as the Auckland Association is sending down a strong ceam a good game should result. An offer from the Wellington Rugby Jnion of the use of Athletic Park for October stlu was received and accepted, 10 per cent, of the ffross gate to be handed to Mrs Luke on behalf of the entertainment of the soldiers. ■ In view of ■ the Auckland match on Saturday week the following team was selected to represent Wellington against Trentham on Saturday: — T Goal, TKlbi Neora; backs. Oross, Fitzgerald; halves, Ives. Auld, Rene; forwards. Edwards, Houston, Marshall, Cawutbers, Bell. Reserves, Wilson (back). Smith (Thistle).
