WOOL STORAGE
•POSITION OF THE HARBOUR BOARD. The probable -position with regard to the storage accommodation for wool during the coming, season was the subject of a question by Mr J. G. Cobbe at last night's meeting of the Harbour Board. Mr Cobbe asked if there was any definite information on the subject. There was a feeling of uneasiness in the countrv that thero would not be sufficient storage in Wellington next season. The chairman <3lr G.,"8. Daniell) replied that a.ne washed was being built to replace that taken ov'er by the Munitions Department. The plans were adopted some months aKo. the .timber was ordered and the foundation waslaid. _ Owing to pressing war demands the timber had . heen considerably delayed The new building would hold 10,000 bales of wool and would replace the accommodation taken by the Munitions Department. He p'ointed out that it should be fullv understood that the board Bad no intention whatever of storing Mall the- wool- coming into Wellington. Its policy was to provide accommodation sufficient to act as a feeder to shipping.
