M.M., is in Wellington. Several df the prize* winners at the recent bulb show have banded their i money back to the society. ' • Tho new chemical fire engine for Otaki has arrived, and a practice will bo held this week. The sum of XlM'has been collected for Mrs Walker, who recently lost her busband through an accident. The sum of ,£20,360 passed through the totalisator at Monday’s race meeting, as compared with .£19,912 for seven, tacos ) last September. Some .£250 more in stakes wore given-this meeting.
