Deceased was the elder sou of Air William Corrigan, of Christchurch, and anephew of Major A. A. Corrigan. Private Corrigan left New Zealand with tho 6th Reinforcement. and served on the Gallipoli Peninsula. He subsequently crossed to France with the New Zealand Division, and went through the Somme, having unbroken service till just prior to the Battle of Messincs. when ho was gassed near Ploegstcerl. Dung trouble resulted, and Privates Corrigan was invalided home to Now Zealand. Ho was 22 years of age at tho time of his death. WHO WAS COLONEL SHRAPNEL?
