BROOKLYN HARRIERS
Last Saturday the ladies' bracelet race was held at Miramar. Tho trail laid by tho club captain led from the Miramar post office towards the cutting for about 200 yards, then turning in a northerly ' direction, crossing several ditches and" fencer and passing the western side of the church on tho hill through tho racecourse; up the hill in Wonderland, passing the watershuto track and heading io the rear of tho Lahmau Home. Here the trail headed tfor home through tho polo grounds, making a distance of 2\ miles. This being a steeplechase, there were more fences and ditches than in ordinary races. The. race was won by R. Watson (nominated by Mi.ss 1?. Abel), Jl. Batchelor and 11. Bull running second and third respectively. After the race tho members and supporters enjoyed a ■very pleasant afternoon tea, kindly supplied by Mrs Free.
