Whirinaki S.D., 13a 3r.—-It was resolved to decline the application. W. Stovens applied for a new license to occupy section 37. Ninia township, 53a lr 15p.—It was resolved to grant it for a term of five vears from 1/7/1918 under section 130 of the Laud Act, 1908 at a rent of £7 per annum.

William Fulton applied to purchase or obtain a new lease of section 4a, block 10, Ngamatca S.D., 13S acres.— It was resolved to grant a now license to occupy for a term of year to year from li/1919. under section 130 of tho Land Act. 1908. "at a rent of £2l per annum. P. Miley applied for a license to cut round silver pino poles on Crown land, Manganui S.D.—lt was resolved to adjourn for ranger's inspection. Applications for flax-cutting rights over Crown lands near Erua railway station were receivod from Mossrs Arthur Hickford, Robert Edgar (jun.) and Harold Jarvis.—lt was resolved to postpone consideration pending tho receipt of ranger'a report as to approximate quantity, position and value of the flax. John Wills applied for a lease of sections 5 and 16, block 4, Pohangina township. 2 roods.—lt was resolved to grant him a permit to occupy them from year to year under section 27 of the Public Reserves, etc., Act, 1908, at a rent of £1 Per annum, subject to the usual conditions. The Horowhenua County Council applied fo;- a temporary lease of P.E.R. I,' block 16, Levin towuship, lr 32p. It was resolved to grant the council a permit to occupy from year to year under section S (7) of the Public Bodies' Leases Act. liWB. at a rent of £2 per annum with protection for fencing up to its value at date of termination. B. Baruieh made an offer tor a water-tank belonging to house on sections 6 and 7, block 10, R-angalaua villnge settlement.—lt was resolved to decline the application. .

A report from the ranger was received on sections 1,2. 3. 4,5, Iliwera village, 5 acres.—lt was resolved _to offer Dr Barnet a lease under section 130 of the Land' Act. 1908, from year to year at a rental of £3 per annum. W. S. Marshall applied to lease or purchase section 51,. village of Marshall, 2 r 24p.—It was resolved to grant him a permit to occupy for one year under section 130 of the Land Act, 1908 at a rent to bo fixed by tho Commissioner subject to the usual conditions.

J. Jollv applied for a lease of a section in Normandale settlement. —It was resolved in the special circumstances to Rive -Mr S., Henson notice of termination of his permit to occupy section 83, block 8, Belmont S.D-. ar>d to grant a similar permit' to Mr J. Jolly for the occupation of this section at a rent to bo fixed by tho Commissioner. ' "
