FIRE AT TAIHAPE

TAIHAFE, July 18
Last evening a fire, the origin of which cannot be accounted for, practically gutted an unoccupied two-story twelve-roomed house known as tho Arcadia Hotol. The firo brigade saved the building from complete destruction. Tho damage is estimated at £250. Tho owner was Mr C. Mardon, of Auckland. The insurances are unobtainable, not having been effected at Taihapo.'
