OIL WELL BLOW-OUT
IMPORTANT DEVELOPMENTS LOOKED FOR. Press Association. NEW PLYMOUTH, June 17. Renewed interest has been given to petroleum prospecting by tho fact that a t>ig "Blow-out occurred at tho Blenheim bore at 1 o'clock this morning, and continued for five hours, proving that tho drill has not yet reached tho main sourco of oil, and confirming the geologists' opjnions that the sourco is over 5000 feet down. The Blenheim bore is now at a depth of 5200 feet. When the blow-out was exhausted drilling was resumed. Important early developments are looked for.
