RESOLUTION BY TIMARU BRANCH.
Press Association. TIMAIUX, Juno 15. Th,o Second Division executive last night passed the following resolution: —''As the L-oaguo recognisos that the Financial Assistance Board is practically of no use to the soldiers, and the wives, of soldiers cannot keep their homes together on tho present allowance and allotment, the national executive withdraw all claims from tho board except for interest and insurance, and demand an allowance of six shillings daily. That the Government cancel Mr Mitchell's appoint-. mont on the board, as he does not represent the Second Division. That the Government make, it obligatory for every man going on active service to have at least -throe ihundreu! pounds life insurance, tho Government taking the risk itself for any mam refused by tho insurance companies."'
