IMPERIAL CHALLENGE SHIELD
The entries la N«w Zealand for the miniature rifle shooting competition among teams from the public 6choola and kindred institutions closed on Juno Ist with a record number of entries. There are two competitions, one for senior and one for junior oadete. Prizemoney to the value of .£IOO Is offered by Lieutenant-Colonel R. W. Schumacher, : of South Africa, for eaoh competitron, besides "a, silver challenge shield and bronze replica with medals for the winning team andl runners-up. Last year the senior competition was won by a Tasmanian team, and the previous year the New High Soliool were the-winners. This year the entries in Now Zealand numbered 22 in the junior competition and 03 in the senior, the latter being five times greater than in any previous year.
