(From Our Own Correspondent.) OTAKI. Friday. A meetine of the Otaki Volunteer I'ire Brieade was held in the brigade room last night, when iilteen ineiubei-s eel tbe roll call. Lieutenant lilil occupied the chair. It was reported that the deputation, consisting of representatives of the Town Board and i'ire JinKrade, had been unable to wait on the Minister for J ustice relative to a Government section at Otaki on account ci his indisposition, while a second arrangement was cancelled owing 10 a mtsuiiuuretandinc. It was decided that tho matter of rnakintr further arrangements to wait on the Minister be left in the hands of Lieutenant Hill and Hr Nicolson. Mr Ooekroll (secretaryV reported the result of a. deputation to 1 the Town Board, and read the arrancement arrived at, which was considered very satisfactory. It was regretted, however, that tho board had been unable to increase a grant beTond .£SO.
