HIS DEATH REPORTED. Press Association. AH CKX AN I) } April 29. Nows was received last nfght that King George Tubau 11. of Tonga died of tuberculosis at his island- homo on April sth. Ho was buried in state on the following Wednesday. The king was forty-four years of age, and had been ailing for some time. Death oarao suddenly as tho king was rising from liis bod. The king’s daughter. Princess Salote, or Charlotte, was proclaimed queen on April 6th. The now queen was the only daughter of the late king s first wife, and is about 18) years of ago. She was educated at the Diocesan School, Auckland. Queen Saloto married tho prince-consort, William I ugi, a tow mouths ago. Tugi . was pro, sent at tho coronation of Kinc George V. of England, as representative.ot longa, and tbo ceremony made a groat impression upon his mind.
