RENAMING GERMAN BOATS.

Twelve of the German steamers which were taken over by the United States Government have been renamed follows :—Vaterland to Leviathan, Kronprinzessin Cccile to Mount Vernon, Kaiser Wilhelm 11. to Agamemnon, Amcrika to America, Hamburg to Powhattan, Grosser Kurfurst to Aeolus. Konig Wilhelm ll to Madawaska, Neckar to Antigone, Princess Irene to Pocahontas, Rhein to Susquehanna, Friedcrich der Grosso to Huron, and Barbarossa to Mercury. The George .Washington. President Lincoln and President Grant will retain their names. The changing of the names of the above vessels has necessitated tbo changing of the names of the tngs Pocahontas to Allegheny, Huron to Chemung, and the Powhattan to Cayuga.
